Four players from Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team in 2023—Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Tommy Fleetwood—will participate in the upcoming Team Cup.

The Team Cup, a Ryder Cup warm-up event, is scheduled to take place from January 10-12, 2024, in Abu Dhabi.

Francesco Molinari and Justin Rose will serve as playing captains for Continental Europe and Britain & Ireland, respectively, both having prior Ryder Cup experience.

Luke Donald, the European captain, selected the Team Cup players in consultation with Molinari and Rose, with final selections to be confirmed after the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December.

Luke Donald highlighted the Team Cup's importance as a preparatory event, noting that it has previously helped players secure spots in the Ryder Cup.

Notably, Jon Rahm, another LIV Golf player known for his Ryder Cup contributions, will not participate in the Team Cup, while Laurie Canter, a former LIV reserve, has made the Britain & Ireland team.

Hatton's participation in the Team Cup underscores his commitment to being part of the European Ryder Cup team defending the trophy in New York in September 2024.
