The LPGA has expressed gratitude for Cognizant's support over the past three years and announced plans to provide updates on the 2025 Founders Cup during the upcoming CME Group Tour Championship.

Cognizant will no longer serve as the title sponsor of the LPGA's Founders Cup, as confirmed by Golfweek.

During its partnership, Cognizant had significantly impacted the event by doubling the Founders Cup purse to $3 million.

The Founders Cup, established in 2011 by former LPGA commissioner Mike Whan, honors the LPGA's 13 founding members and previously featured the largest purse on tour outside of the majors.

If the Founders Cup relocates to Florida, its purse may decrease to around $1.75 million, aligning it more closely with the LPGA's Drive On event.

As the LPGA prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary next season, the Founders Cup is expected to remain on the schedule, potentially moving from New Jersey to Florida.

This year's Founders Cup was won by Rose Zhang, who received a prize of $450,000.

The Founders event has significantly benefited the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program, raising millions over the years.

Other LPGA events, such as the Ford Championship and the Portland Classic, are currently facing uncertainties regarding sponsorship.

Despite ending its sponsorship of the Founders Cup, Cognizant continues its partnership with the PGA Tour as a Global Partner for the Presidents Cup through 2026 and sponsors the Cognizant Classic.

Cognizant has emphasized its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in sports, even as it steps back from the Founders Cup.

The LPGA is set to unveil its full schedule at the CME Group Tour Championship, which will include a new event, the Black Desert Championship in Utah, expected to feature a large purse.
