Throughout the playoff, Campillo had several opportunities to clinch the victory but missed crucial putts from six, 10, and 15 feet.

In the playoff, Guerrier made an 8-foot par putt on the ninth extra hole, while Campillo struggled to recover from a greenside bunker, securing Guerrier's victory.

In an emotional interview, Guerrier expressed disbelief and joy over his long-awaited win, praising Campillo's skills, particularly his putting.

The final day of the tournament saw both players tied at 21-under par after shooting closing rounds of 70, with Campillo bogeying the 18th hole to allow Guerrier to force the playoff.

This nine-hole playoff tied the DP World Tour record for the longest playoff, showcasing the intense competition between the two players.

The Andalucia Masters was the last event of the year on European soil for the tour, with Jon Rahm finishing in sixth place after a solid final round.

The final leaderboard featured Guerrier and Campillo at -21, followed by England's Dan Brown at -19 and a tie between James Smith and Rasmus Hojgaard at -18.

Interestingly, Guerrier's coach, Raphael Jacquelin, previously won a nine-hole playoff at the 2013 Spanish Open, adding a layer of significance to Guerrier's victory.
