Backbone has launched the Xbox Edition of its popular mobile controller, the Backbone One, featuring a nostalgic translucent green design inspired by classic Xbox controllers.

As a second-generation model, it offers a USB-C connection that accommodates phones even in protective cases, along with passthrough charging and a 2.5mm headphone jack.

The controller will be available for purchase online exclusively through Backbone.com and Best Buy Drops, but availability may be limited.

The Backbone One Xbox Edition connects via USB-C, making it compatible with modern iOS and Android smartphones, and features a collapsible backing frame for easy storage.

Unlike the PlayStation Edition, which enhances Remote Play for Sony, this Xbox Edition focuses on Microsoft's Game Pass streaming library.

The controller includes a dedicated Xbox home button that quickly opens the Xbox app on smartphones, enhancing convenience for Xbox Game Pass users.

This new controller is priced at $110 in the United States and includes a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, granting access to over 500 games.

Standard inputs found on other Backbone controllers are included, allowing for traditional gaming control, while the controller's telescoping design accommodates various phone sizes.

In addition to Xbox Cloud Gaming, the controller supports Xbox Remote Play, enabling users to access their personal game library from their console.

Other Backbone controller options include various color schemes and models compatible with both USB-C and Lightning connections, priced between $98 and $100.

While there may be a slight adjustment period to using this controller, it significantly enhances the gaming experience, especially for popular titles like Sea of Stars and Halo: Master Chief Collection.
