Following the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Konami and Bloober Team have announced a collaboration on a new game.

While specific details about this new project remain under wraps, Bloober's CEO has hinted at something 'truly special' in development.

Konami currently has multiple Silent Hill projects in the pipeline, including Silent Hill f and Silent Hill: Townfall, alongside a cinematic adaptation titled Return to Silent Hill.

The Silent Hill 2 remake, released in October 2024, received high praise with ratings of 86/100 on Metacritic and 88/100 on OpenCritic, and was awarded Game of the Year 2024 by IGN Japan.

Despite initial skepticism regarding Bloober's previous title, The Medium, the remake became the fastest-selling entry in the Silent Hill series, solidifying Bloober's reputation.

In addition to their collaboration with Konami, Bloober Team is set to release a new title, Cronos: The New Dawn, later in 2025, which marks their first original survival horror game.

Cronos: The New Dawn is set in a post-apocalyptic 1980s Poland, showcasing Bloober's evolution as a studio.

Moreover, a film adaptation of Silent Hill 2 is in production, directed by Christophe Gans, indicating ongoing interest in the franchise.

While the focus is currently on Silent Hill, there is hope that Konami may eventually revive other franchises like Castlevania with similar dedication.

There is speculation that Bloober Team could also create an original game set within the Silent Hill universe.

Castlevania could potentially be a choice for Bloober, although it would represent a shift from their traditional horror style.

Despite ongoing discussions about the Silent Hill franchise, it remains uncertain whether Bloober will tackle remakes of other entries in the series.
