Ubisoft has unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, a major update for the tactical shooter that promises significant enhancements in graphics and gameplay.

This announcement was made on February 16, 2025, during the final day of the Six Invitational, a major esports tournament.

The Six Invitational featured a total prize pool of $3 million and concluded with FaZe Clan winning the championship against Team BDS.

The new content, including the upcoming Operation Prep Phase, will be showcased on March 13, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, and streamed live on the official Rainbow 6 Twitch channel.

Tickets for the showcase are available for $10, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack.

Operation Prep Phase will introduce a new operator named Rauora, who is characterized as a two-speed, two-health attacker equipped with a unique Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) Launcher.

Rauora's D.O.M. Launcher allows her to deploy bulletproof panels that block enemy sightlines and movement, enhancing tactical gameplay.

Her loadout includes powerful weapons such as the 417 designated marksman rifle and the M249 light machine gun, along with secondary options like the GSH-18 pistol.

The new operation will also allow players to purchase previously released cosmetics, potentially at discounted prices, bringing back fan-favorite items.
