The FFXIV Fanfest 2024 Keynote revealed details about the upcoming Dawntrail expansion, scheduled for summer 2024.

The Dawntrail expansion will introduce the Pictomancer job, a ranged magical DPS class, along with new locations, dungeons, and mechanics.

Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.55, to be released on January 16, 2024, will introduce the playable female Hrothgar race.

Dawntrail will bring numerous updates including a graphical update, system updates, Gold Saucer updates, and a new content type - Cosmic Exploration.

The expansion will also feature new areas, challenges, raids, and artwork by Akihito Yoshida.
