Ragnarok Landverse, a new MMORPG in the beloved Ragnarok franchise, is set to launch on the Ronin sidechain of Ethereum in early 2025.

Having previously soft-launched on the BNB Chain, the game has already generated approximately $15 million in NFT sales and attracted over 400,000 players.

Ronin, a prominent gaming network within the Ethereum ecosystem, is known for hosting popular titles like Axie Infinity and Pixels, and has broadened its offerings to include games from various developers.

Players interested in Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis can pre-register by connecting their Ronin digital wallets, which may unlock potential rewards prior to the game's official launch.

This upcoming title is the second game from the Ragnarok franchise to debut on Ronin, following the release of Ragnarok: Monster World, which features gameplay inspired by Clash Royale.

Initially, the Ronin version of Ragnarok Landverse will not support asset transfers from other Landverse servers, although migration plans are in place for the future.

Ragnarok Landverse is designed as a free-to-play game available on PC and Android, incorporating gameplay elements reminiscent of the original 2002 Ragnarok Online, enhanced with blockchain features like mineable resources and token rewards.

Maxion's parent company, Zentry, is set to operate a validator node on the Ronin network, with ambitions to create a metagame ecosystem that connects various Web3 games.

In addition, another game within the Ragnarok universe, developed by DeLabs Games, was announced in November 2024 and is anticipated to launch via Telegram in the first quarter of 2025.
