Atari Unveils 7800+ Console with Black Friday Bundle and New Game Lineup

Other significant releases include a new version of Berzerk, an adaptation of Frenzy, and the first-ever 7800 port of Space Duel, which features a unique two-player mode.
Atari also offers the CX78+ Wireless Gamepad and CX40+ Wireless Joystick separately for $34.99 each, which can connect wirelessly to the 7800+ and 2600+ consoles, as well as to PCs and original hardware via adapters.
Atari has launched a faithful recreation of the 1986 Atari 7800 home console, now known as the 7800+, which is priced at $129.99.
For Black Friday, Atari is offering a special deal on the 7800+ that includes two wireless controllers for $131.98, bundled with the new game cartridge, Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest.
In addition to the console, Atari has released ten new cartridges featuring both official releases and popular homebrew games, each accompanied by a color-printed user manual.
This new console connects to modern TVs via HDMI and is compatible with both new and original 2600 and 7800 games, ensuring near-universal compatibility with various cartridges.
The 7800+ features several new games, including a revamped Asteroids Deluxe, a sequel titled Bounty Bob Strikes Back, and the popular homebrew sequel Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest.
Among the notable new titles is Caverns of Mars for the 2600+, which introduces new challenges and a save feature, alongside the Epyx Game Collection that compiles classic sports games for up to eight players.
