Throughout her career, she produced several Oscar-nominated films, including 'Sleepless in Seattle,' which starred Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

Obst's notable projects included working with Ricky Gervais on 'The Invention of Lying' in 2009 and co-producing 'Interstellar' with director Christopher Nolan in 2014.

She also executive produced popular projects like 'Sleepless in Seattle' and the TV series 'Hot in Cleveland,' showcasing her versatility in both film and television.

In collaboration with Debra Hill, Obst co-founded one of Hollywood's first all-female production companies, producing notable films such as 'Adventures in Babysitting' and 'The Fisher King.'
