Paramount has announced new release dates for several upcoming films, including the reboot of The Naked Gun, which will now premiere on August 1, 2025.

Originally set for July 18, the Naked Gun reboot stars Liam Neeson as Detective Frank Drebin and is directed by Akiva Schaffer, with producers including Seth MacFarlane.

In addition to The Naked Gun, the horror film Vicious, featuring Dakota Fanning, has been rescheduled to February 25, 2025.

Wright's version of The Running Man will focus on a falsely convicted policeman who participates in a deadly game show, highlighting themes of survival and violence.

In addition to these projects, Paramount's animated Smurfs musical, featuring Rihanna, has taken the release date previously held by The Naked Gun, now set for July 18, 2025.
