U.S. drug distributor Cencora, formerly AmerisourceBergen Corp, has disclosed a cyberattack earlier this year.

The attack resulted in data breaches for several major pharmaceutical firms, including Novartis, Bayer, and AbbVie.

Exposed personal information includes names, addresses, health diagnoses, medications, and prescriptions.

Although there is no evidence of misuse, affected individuals are being offered two years of free identity protection and credit monitoring services.

The breach, impacting a total of eleven pharmaceutical companies, occurred in February 2024.

Cencora has completed its internal investigation but has not revealed the number of people affected.

The impacted firms are in the process of notifying individuals and providing resources to help protect them.
