On October 1, 2024, the Polkadot DAO and Community launched a significant airdrop of 10 million MYTH tokens to over 450,000 Polkadot wallets.

This airdrop represents a collaboration between the Mythos and Polkadot ecosystems, aimed at enhancing blockchain gaming and fostering Web3 innovation.

The initiative specifically rewards active Polkadot users who have engaged in staking, governance voting, and cross-chain transactions.

In total, 128,796 active wallets are receiving rewards, with some qualifying for up to 1,337 MYTH based on their engagement levels.

Additionally, inactive wallets holding between 10 and 5000 DOT also received tokens, ensuring broader community benefits.

The airdrop process commenced on September 30, 2024, and is expected to conclude within a week.

Developed in collaboration with Dune Analytics and audited by Parity Technologies, the airdrop emphasizes transparency.

Feedback from the Polkadot community was instrumental in making this airdrop the most transparent ever conducted, with contributions from various stakeholders.

Running concurrently with the airdrop is the Mythical Forest Campaign, where participants can earn a share of a 2 million MYTH token rewards pool by completing social tasks.

The Mythos ecosystem supports interoperability across four blockchains, including Polkadot, thereby enhancing user access to tokens.

The Mythos Foundation oversees the governance and development of the MYTH token, focusing on expanding blockchain technology in gaming.

Claiming MYTH tokens can be done through desktop access, with mobile support anticipated soon, allowing users to participate in the Mythical Marketplace and upcoming incentives.
