His endorsement is particularly timely as Polymarket gains traction during the U.S. election season, allowing users to bet on event outcomes.

He believes Polymarket serves as both a betting platform and a credible news source, helping individuals gauge public sentiment.

In May, Buterin participated in a $70 million funding round for Polymarket, alongside notable investors like Peter Thiel's Founders Fund.

To ensure projects can function without central authority, Buterin proposed decentralization metrics such as the 'walkaway test' and 'insider attack test'.

He warned against excessive marketing that could create a politically charged environment, potentially hindering growth.

Buterin stressed the importance of maintaining credible neutrality within Ethereum to avoid biased alignment.

He concluded that decentralization and cooperation are critical challenges that need to be addressed for a cohesive Ethereum ecosystem.
