Starting August 27, high schools in Buenos Aires will introduce blockchain internships as part of a new educational initiative.

This initiative is a collaboration between Argentina's Ministry of Education and ETH Kipu, aiming to integrate Ethereum and blockchain technology into the curriculum.

The partnership marks a significant advancement in blockchain education in Argentina, potentially setting a precedent for similar initiatives in other regions.

This educational effort comes amid soaring inflation in Argentina, which currently stands at an annual rate of 276%, prompting many residents to seek financial stability through cryptocurrencies.

As a result, local residents are increasingly purchasing stablecoins like Tether (USDT) to preserve their funds against inflation.

Argentina is leading the Western Hemisphere in crypto adoption, with significant activity on platforms such as Binance.

As of early July, Forbes reported that 2.5 million visitors to major crypto exchanges originated from Argentina, making it the top market for Binance.

Romina, a co-founder of ETH Kipu, noted that the program has already trained over 100 educators and hosted a launch event for 200 students.

The initiative will also implement a 'hybrid training' program for 30 teachers to enhance their ability to instruct students in Ethereum technology.

An online Solidity course will be offered to 500 students aged 18 and over, focusing on developing decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ethereum network.

This initiative aligns with a global trend towards blockchain and crypto education, similar to programs seen in Africa and El Salvador.

ETH Kipu co-founder Paula Doy emphasized that this initiative will create new career opportunities for youth and position Argentina at the forefront of blockchain technology.
