AMD Releases Adrenalin 24.10.1 Driver: Boosts AAA Game Performance, Adds FSR & Fixes Crashes
October 19, 2024This new driver introduces support for popular AAA titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Unknown 9: Awakening.
This driver version is compatible with both Windows 10 and 11.
The driver also expands HYPR-Tune support, enabling technologies like AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2, along with new profiles for enhanced performance in supported games.
AMD has launched its latest WHQL Adrenalin graphics driver, version 24.10.1, which became available on October 24, 2023.
Additionally, the driver automatically configures FidelityFX Super Resolution with frame generation for games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, 7 Days to Die, and Once Human.
Improvements in this driver address performance issues in DayZ and resolve crashes in Doom Eternal when changing in-game resolution settings.
However, users should be aware of some known issues, including intermittent driver timeouts in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and system crashes when launching SteamVR.
To mitigate some of these known issues, users can enable Variable Graphics Memory in the Adrenalin Software.
In addition to the stable release, AMD has also made available a beta driver, version 24.10.30.02, which adds Mesh Nodes support for Vulkan GPU Work Graphs.
Users can easily download the new 24.10.1 driver from AMD's official website.
The changelog suggests that display drivers are cumulative, indicating that support for Mesh Nodes may be included in future releases.
