On December 21, 2024, an 18-year-old man from Nivelles was found seriously injured in Drie Fonteinen Park, Vilvorde, Flemish Brabant.

The victim sustained two stab wounds: one to the chest and another to the upper thigh.

He was bleeding profusely, prompting immediate transport to the hospital.

Fortunately, the prosecutor's office has stated that the victim's life is not in danger.

Initial statements from the victim suggest that he took a train to Brussels-North before getting into a car with other individuals.

During this journey, he was reportedly attacked with a knife and subsequently abandoned at Drie Fonteinen.

In response to the incident, the Hal-Vilvorde prosecutor's office has launched an investigation for attempted murder.

The VIMA police department (Vilvorde/Machelen) is responsible for continuing the investigation.
