Future updates for Among Us 3D will include new modes, tasks, collaborations, and a wardrobe expansion.

Schell Games and Innersloth have announced the rebranding of Among Us VR to Among Us 3D, which will support multiple VR platforms including Quest, SteamVR, Pico, and PS VR2, while the flatscreen version will be available exclusively for PC.

Although a specific release date for the flatscreen version has not been confirmed, new features have been announced, including a demo available during Steam Next Fest from February 23 to March 1.

A new in-game currency called 'Stardust' will be introduced, aimed at enhancing customization options and expanding the game's offerings.

Ryan Hall, Project Director at Schell Games, expressed enthusiasm about the game's first-person perspective and the potential for increased player interaction.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D will not support the original 2D game from 2018, which will remain a separate entity.

The rebranding and updates will affect store pages, websites, and in-game branding as the transition progresses.

The rebranding will unfold over the next few months, two years after the original launch of the VR game.

Among Us 3D will retain the first-person perspective of the VR game and will allow cross-platform multiplayer between PC and VR players.

Limited-time events will return, following the success of last year's events such as 'Dum Justice' and 'Lights Out.'

Innersloth has also revealed a roadmap for its 2D game, which will not be compatible with Among Us 3D, featuring new roles and a matchmaking overhaul.

Additionally, news regarding the animated Among Us TV series is expected to be released soon.
