Sanzaru Games has officially released the final content update for Asgard's Wrath 2, an action-adventure game exclusive to Meta Quest.

This last major update, titled 'The Long Winter', marks the twelfth and final 'Cosmic Event', which began on January 6, 2025.

Despite community requests for continued updates, the studio has ruled out any further content development for Asgard's Wrath 2.

Moving forward, Sanzaru Games will focus on new projects, indicating a significant shift in their development strategy.

The studio's community manager expressed excitement about their next major project, although no specifics have been disclosed.

It remains uncertain whether this upcoming project will be a sequel to Asgard's Wrath or a completely new game.

In addition to the final update, monthly events will now reintroduce previous Cosmic Events, allowing players who missed out to earn rewards.

Players will not be able to double up on past rewards, except for Nova Stones, which can be used to craft previous equipment.

The new Cosmic Event launched recently involves preparations for winter due to Ragnarök, despite earlier statements that 'The Trickster's Legacy' would be the last.

Asgard's Wrath 2, launched in late 2023, offers over 60 hours of campaign gameplay, excluding time spent on Cosmic Events.

Sanzaru Games has developed two significant and polished entries in the RPG genre, suggesting they may continue in this vein with future projects.

Since being acquired by Meta in 2020, Sanzaru has directed its efforts toward developing exclusive titles for Meta's XR headsets.
