However, there are concerns that this memory capability could lead to inaccuracies or hallucinations, potentially confusing users.

These enhancements are part of Anthropic's strategy to compete with major players like OpenAI and Google, who are rapidly integrating AI solutions into their platforms.

Amodei also emphasized the importance of developing safe AI, addressing the need for regulation amid fierce competition from big tech companies and China.

He noted a significant surge in demand for AI services, which has stretched Anthropic's computational resources to their limits.

Despite raising $13.7 billion in capital, Anthropic faced substantial losses in 2024 and is projected to continue burning cash.

The company is currently in discussions to raise an additional $2 billion at a valuation of $60 billion to support its growth and competition with OpenAI.

Amodei anticipates that AI agents like Claude will evolve into more capable assistants, significantly enhancing productivity for users.

He also warned about potential negative impacts of AI, such as job displacement and the risks associated with unsafe AI development.

Looking ahead, Amodei criticized the current labeling of AI models and mentioned that upcoming versions of Claude will focus on improving reasoning capabilities.
