Ant Group unveiled its new AI financial manager, Maxiaocai, during the 2024 Inclusion Conference held in Shanghai.

Maxiaocai, which can be accessed through the Alipay and Ant Fortune apps, expands Ant Group's AI offerings, building on previous innovations like the AI life assistant, Zhixiaobao.

Since its public testing began in early 2024, Maxiaocai has attracted 70 million monthly active users, with a notable 45% from lower-tier cities.

The platform connects over 200 financial institutions and more than 15,000 financial content creators, enhancing its ecosystem.

This AI tool provides customized financial services, including tailored market insights and personalized investment advice, making complex financial concepts more accessible.

Maxiaocai can generate visual summaries of financial reports and simplify intricate financial terms into layman's language.

Wang Xiaohang, Vice President of Ant Group, highlighted that generative AI technology is transforming investor interactions with financial services.

Ant Group's mission focuses on providing equal access to digital financial services, supporting the digital transformation of the service industry.

Alongside Maxiaocai, Ant Group also launched Zhixiaobao, an AI chatbot designed to assist users with everyday tasks.

Zhixiaobao features built-in AI agents, including an English-language tutor and a fitness pro, to provide personalized learning and workout plans.

Cyril Han, president of Ant Group, emphasized the importance of practical AI applications to enhance user experience with tools like Zhixiaobao.

Ant Group's initiatives reflect a broader trend among Chinese tech companies investing in their own large language models amidst a global AI development race.
