Hyderabad has been designated as a strategic region by AWS, currently hosting three operational large data centers and planning further expansion.

Amazon already has a strong presence in Telangana, including the largest corporate building in Hyderabad and the launch of its air cargo network, 'Amazon Air', in 2023.

With a market capitalization exceeding $1.89 trillion and over 1.5 million employees globally, Amazon continues to expand its footprint in key regions like Telangana.

On August 4, a Telangana delegation, including the Chief Minister, traveled to New York to engage with business leaders in the US and South Korea regarding investment opportunities.

The Telangana government is actively promoting data localization plans, which are expected to attract further investments in data centers.
