This season will feature 12 club teams from 12 African countries, competing in a total of 48 games across Rabat, Dakar, Kigali, and Pretoria.

The Combine will feature over 30 aspiring players from Africa, Europe, and the U.S., held at the Ibn Yassine Omnisports Hall.

Participants in the Combine will undergo anthropometric and athletic testing, skill development drills, and 5-on-5 games in front of team executives, coaches, and scouts.

On January 10, 2024, BAL will host a BAL4HER women’s camp aimed at empowering 20 U-23 female athletes from local communities in Rabat.

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) will kick off its fifth season on April 5, 2025, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco, and will conclude with the Finals on June 14, 2025, in Pretoria, South Africa.

Teams will be organized into three conferences, each playing a 12-game group phase against their conference opponents.

The Kalahari Conference will compete from April 5 to April 13, the Sahara Conference from April 26 to May 4, and the Nile Conference from May 17 to May 25.

Eight teams will qualify for the playoffs starting June 6, 2025, leading up to the Finals on June 14.

Coaches from the NBA 2K25 Summer League's Africa Coaches Program will assist in the Combine, including notable figures such as Ahmed Salam and Francois Enyegue.

BAL4HER focuses on advancing gender equity in African sports and celebrating female role models in the industry.

During the Combine, which will take place from January 10 to January 12, 2024, the league will offer a coaching clinic for 100 local coaches.
