Brian Rohloff, senior vice president of Customer Support, highlighted that customers are increasingly looking for connectivity solutions that improve their in-flight experience and mission effectiveness.

Customers can schedule the Starlink upgrade for installation at Textron Aviation Service Centres located in North America and select international locations.

Textron Aviation has announced the introduction of Starlink connectivity as an installation option for its Cessna Citation X and X+ models.

This announcement comes on the heels of the FAA’s AeroMech STC certification of the Starlink connectivity hardware.

The AeroMech STC utilizes Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide enhanced connectivity over land, water, and remote areas where traditional Wi-Fi often fails.

AeroMech’s STC features a standalone system that includes an antenna, power supply, and router, requiring only a power input from the aircraft.
