The Center for Countering Disinformation in Ukraine has confirmed that Starlink satellite Internet will remain operational, dispelling recent rumors of a shutdown.

Concerns about the potential disconnection of Starlink arose after reports suggested that the U.S. might pressure Ukraine to limit access to the service in exchange for critical mineral resources.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center, reassured the public that alternative communication methods are already successfully operational on the front lines.

Kovalenko emphasized that even if Starlink were to be disconnected, the situation is not dire as alternative solutions are available.

Despite the alleged threats from the United States regarding Starlink's disconnection due to resource access disputes, Ukraine's communication capabilities remain intact.

In response to the evolving satellite communication landscape, the European Union plans to invest approximately €11 billion in a satellite network to compete with Starlink.

Starlink has played a crucial role in maintaining internet connectivity in war-affected regions of Ukraine, significantly aiding military operations.
