The Hamayu ferry operates along a nearly 1,000km route, connecting Yokosuka in the northeast to Shinmoji in the southwest of Japan.

This Starlink service provides high-speed internet access, boasting peak rates of up to 220MB/s for a limited time.

In 2022, KDDI partnered with SpaceX to become an authorized Starlink integrator, with the goal of delivering satellite internet services to enterprise and government clients.
