In early January 2025, airBaltic conducted a certification test flight for SpaceX's Starlink high-speed internet on an Airbus A220-300.

The test flight specifically evaluated the Starlink aero terminal and the quality of the internet connection.

To move forward, airBaltic is working with Starlink to obtain the necessary Supplemental Type Certification (STC), which requires approval from EASA.

Installation of Starlink on airBaltic's Airbus A220-300 fleet is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
