The Final Draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 is scheduled to take place in Rabat, Morocco on January 27, 2025.

This tournament provides an opportunity for teams to assess Morocco's match venues, training facilities, and hotel infrastructure ahead of the competition.

During the draw, the teams will be divided into six groups of four, with the top two from each group and the four best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage.

A total of 24 teams have qualified for this year's tournament, including notable champions such as Egypt, Cameroon, and Nigeria.

The upcoming AFCON 2025 marks the 35th edition of the tournament, which has been a staple of African football since its inception in 1957, making it the third oldest continental football competition in the world.

Algeria is also set to participate, marking its 21st appearance, with previous victories in 1990 and 2019.

Cote d’Ivoire will be making its 26th appearance in the tournament, having won three times, while Senegal returns as the reigning champion from 2021.

The participating teams showcase a mix of footballing pedigree, with some nations like Egypt and Cameroon boasting multiple championships, while others, such as Botswana, are making only their second appearance.

Morocco will host the AFCON finals for the first time since 1988, and it is also preparing to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.

The draw will begin at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT/20:00 Cairo time) and will feature all 24 qualified national teams.
