Manchester City is currently facing 115 charges for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play rules, which the club firmly denies.

Among these charges, 54 relate to the failure to provide accurate financial reports, while 35 involve non-cooperation with the Premier League's investigation.

These allegations date back to the club's financial practices between the 2009/10 and 2017/18 seasons.

The trial commenced in September 2023 at the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London.

However, the verdict from these proceedings may not be announced until after the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premier League season, with a possible resolution expected in spring or summer 2025.

If found guilty, Manchester City could face serious repercussions, including relegation, points deduction, fines, or even title stripping.

Despite these potential outcomes, reports indicate that relegation is considered unlikely, even if the club is found guilty, due to the possibility of appeals.

In the event of an expulsion from the Premier League, a special shareholders meeting would be required, necessitating a vote from 15 clubs.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is focused on reclaiming their European crown, competing in a new Champions League format against formidable opponents such as Inter Milan, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain.
