Mojo Vision & CY Vision Revolutionize Vehicle Safety with Next-Gen AR HUDs
September 10, 2024Mojo Vision has teamed up with CY Vision to create next-generation heads-up displays (HUDs) for vehicles, leveraging advanced micro-LED technology.
These innovative HUDs will utilize augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance driver safety by providing real-time information directly in the driver's line of sight.
The micro-LED technology used in these displays offers 20 to 50 times more light efficiency than traditional systems, resulting in bright, clear images that minimize issues such as sunlight reflection and color distortion.
By incorporating AR overlays, the new HUDs aim to reduce distracted driving, which is responsible for approximately 25% of automotive accidents.
Sandeep Ohri, CEO of CY Vision, noted that AR HUDs could signify a significant leap in automotive technology, with a total addressable market projected to surpass $10 billion by 2034.
Nikhil Balram, CEO of Mojo Vision, highlighted that micro-LEDs can deliver high performance while maintaining the integrity of vehicle structure and design.
This collaboration is focused on advancing the commercialization of micro-LED technology in automotive HUDs, showcasing its adaptability and value.
Mojo Vision's micro-LEDs are designed to be energy-efficient, being five to ten times more efficient than conventional LED-illuminated LCD displays, which aligns with auto manufacturers' goals for lower energy consumption.
The HUDs developed by CY Vision will feature a large field of view, high-resolution images, and advanced 3D capabilities, significantly enhancing the overall driving experience.
Moreover, the compact size of Mojo Vision's micro-LEDs allows for seamless integration into various vehicle designs, accommodating different windshield sizes without the need for costly optical components.
