Uzbekistan will make history by hosting the AFC Women's Asian Cup for the first time, as the first Central Asian nation to do so.

The hosting of these tournaments is anticipated to significantly boost the development of women's soccer in both Australia and Uzbekistan.

FIFA is planning to introduce a Women's Club World Cup and is in the process of selecting a host for the 2027 Women's World Cup, with Brazil as a potential candidate.
